Music Manuscript Layout Specifications

Professional music engraving requires balanced vertical stave distribution. Standard classical manuscript uses 10 to 12 staves per page on Letter/A4 paper, ensuring adequate clearance above and below each staff for ledger lines, dynamic markings ($f, p$), and vocal lyrics.

Standard 5-Line Staves

Configured with 2.0 mm line spacing (staff rastrum size 3/4), providing optimal optical proportion for treble, bass, and alto clef notation without note head crowding.

6-Line Guitar / Bass Tablature (TAB)

Features 2.5 mm line spacing to accommodate clean numeric fret hand notation across 6 strings, with an integrated vertical TAB marker along the left clef boundary.
